1. TRAVEL DOCUMENT SERVICE

A Travel document service (Laissez-passer) is offered in accordance with the Ministerial Order No 215/224 released on February 2nd, 2011 by the Ministry of Public Security, Office of the Minister, fixing the rates of the biometric passport, travel documents, biometric visas and  identity cards for Foreigners.

According to this Ministerial Order, a Burundian Citizen can benefit from a granting of travel document (Laissez-passer tenant lieu de passeport biométrique) for 30,000 Fbu  (or 20 USD according to the current exchange rate).  

N.B : This service is issued to Burundian Citizens whose travel document is no longer valid. The requirements for this service are :

- Two coloured passeport size photographs,

- Copy of burundian passeport or ID,

2. DOCUMENT AUTHENTIFICATION / LEGALIZATION / CERTIFICATION

2.1 Fees and requirements for Burundian Citizens :

- 20 USD per document,

- A formal letter of request addressed to the Ambassador,

- A copy of your legal status in Turkey,

- A prepaid return self-addressed, stamped express envelope (from mail   transportation campany),

- The original document to be authenticated must bear a signature and a stamp of a relevant authority,

- A copy of the original document.

2.2 Fees and requirements for other Citizens :

- 40 USD per document,

- A formal letter of request addressed to the Ambassador,

- A copy of your legal status in Turkey,

- A prepaid return self-addressed, stamped express envelope (from mail  transportation campany),

- The original document to be authenticated must bear a signature and a stamp of a relevant authority,

- A copy of the original document.

N.B : Consular services fees are payable as follows :

For any one who will be able to visit physicaly the Embassy and apply for this service him/herself.

Money transfer to the embassy consular bank account :
